Omakase @ Barracks Row, Washington, DC

Ghost Score 9.1 : Chef Ricky and his team curated an amazing experience, and I was lucky to be one of eleven to be seated. Omakase which means “I leave it up to you” had me wondering and salivating at what could be next each and every time. I was never disappointed. The meal was narrated so that each piece was explained as well as sourced. My favorite dish was the Fatty Tuna (above). I also tried the Uni - Sea Urchin and enjoyed some Sake. I also learned about Gyotaku, which is created by pressing rice paper onto a fish covered with ink or paint. These were displayed throughout the restaurant and added to the clean and welcoming space. The team made this fun, and I really enjoyed it.
